Goals and Values
What is Important to US
Our number one goal is to support the children in our care with their individual development. In order for this to occur we need to create a comfortable atmosphere where the children are able to build relationships and be open to new experiences. In this trusted environment they learn to recognize boundaries, participate actively in the group and forge friendships.
The daily routines are designed to meet the needs of the children. For this reason our infants and toddlers have their own groups which are able to provide age appropriate activities and routines. While the daily routine in the infant group is designed individually it is much more structured for the older children. Occasionally we plan activities with mixed ages so that the youngest and oldest in our care have the chance to learn from one another. Children learn to express a wide range of emotions trough participation in a wide range of experiences. Joy, sorrow, anger and pride all teach them about themselves and others. Through these experiences the children will discover what it is to be human and begin to master their own emotions.
